The South Gondar Zone Peace and Security Department stated that the armed forces who accepted the peace call and surrendered to their district are entering the zone to carry out reforms.


Debretabor:- March 22/2016 (South Gondar Communication) South Gondar Zone Peace and Security Department has announced that more than 500 armed forces accepted the 3rd round of peace calls offered by the government and entered Debretabor for rehabilitation training.
The head of the South Gondar Zone Peace and Security Department, Ato Getnat, said that the 307 members who had accepted the call for peace had gone through the first round of training and were now serving the community.The purpose of the call for peace is to rehabilitate the armed forces who have been pushed by one reason or another and become the cause of the security crisis.
Mr. Getnat said that more than 500 members of the armed group have surrendered to the defense and security forces of their district due to the strong public relations work done for the third round of our zone.
Mr. Getnat said that the trainees who came to take the reform training from March 23 to 28/2016 using the favorable conditions created by the state government are lucky.
The head of the department said that not accepting the peace call presented by the government will weaken the capacity of the region, continue the problems that threaten the people of the region, and is of no use other than being a power for foreign forces.

Debub Gondar (or South Gondar) is a Zone in the Ethiopian Amhara Region. 

South Gondar is bordered on the south by East Gojjam, on the southwest by West Gojjam and Bahir Dar, on the west by Lake Tana, on the north by North Gondar, on the northeast by Wag Hemra, on the east by North Wollo, and on the southeast by South Wollo; the Abbay River separates South Gondar from the two Gojjam Zones.
