About Us

The main purpose of the establishment of the Zonal Office is to provide multifaceted support to the Chief Executive Officer and the executive body of the Zonal Office to effectively fulfill their constitutional responsibilities, and to do this in a transparent and effective manner, and to coordinate with the Zonal Executive Offices coordinated by the Zonal Executive Offices and the hierarchically controlled regional offices. It is to establish a transparent and accountable working system between the government bodies at each level of administration by making the relations with the administrative bodies to be trained and implemented based on the supremacy of law. 

By providing multi-faceted support to the zonal council in order to fulfill its constitutional responsibilities efficiently and in a manner that is transparent, accountable and effective; So that the relationships with the zonal executive office and the district and city administration bodies coordinated by the top management; Establishing a system of clear and accountable procedures between higher and lower government bodies so that they are carried out based on the rule of law.

Debub Gondar (or South Gondar) is a Zone in the Ethiopian Amhara Region. 

South Gondar is bordered on the south by East Gojjam, on the southwest by West Gojjam and Bahir Dar, on the west by Lake Tana, on the north by North Gondar, on the northeast by Wag Hemra, on the east by North Wollo, and on the southeast by South Wollo; the Abbay River separates South Gondar from the two Gojjam Zones.

The highest point in South Gondar is Mount Guna (4,231 meters). Towns and cities in this zone include Addis ZemenDebre Tabor and Wereta.
